Prani Tarpaulin & Co manufactures HDPE laminated tarpaulins at Barugur, Tamil Nadu under the TUFFLER TARP brand. Every roll is woven, laminated and finished in-house for waterproof, UV-stable, tear-resistant covers used across transport, agriculture, events and construction.

The unit at SIDCO Industrial Area, Barugur runs the complete chain — tape extrusion, circular weaving, double-side lamination, cutting, stitching, hot-air welding and eyeleting. Because nothing is sent out for job work, we can hold GSM tolerance tightly, repeat a colour exactly on a follow-up order and turn around unusual sizes quickly.

Our customers range from single-truck owners buying one lorry cover to tent house chains and nursery groups ordering container loads of laminated rolls every month. Whatever the size of the order, the specification we quote is the specification that ships — and we stand behind every metre of it.

The HDPE tarpaulin range, in detail

Six product lines built on the same laminated HDPE base, each tuned for a different job. All of them are made to order in the size, GSM and color you specify.

HDPE Laminated Tarpaulin

Our core product: cross-woven HDPE fabric laminated on both faces for a fully waterproof, rot-proof cover with reinforced hems and eyelets.

High density polyethylene tape yarn is woven into a cross-laminated fabric and then coated on both faces with a virgin LDPE film. The result is a sheet that carries no pin-holes, absorbs no water and does not rot or mildew the way canvas does. Edges are folded twice, heat sealed and stitched, then fitted with rustproof aluminium eyelets every 3 feet so the sheet can be roped down without tearing at the corners.

HDPE Pond Liner Tarpaulin

Seamless-welded liners for farm ponds, water storage tanks and fish tanks — zero seepage, chemical and rot resistant.

Pond liners are hot-air welded rather than stitched, because a stitch is a leak. We take your pond or tank dimensions including depth and slope, build a single continuous liner with welded seams, and add an anchoring flap for the trench at the top edge. The material is inert, so it is safe for fish, azolla and irrigation storage.

HDPE Vehicle Tarpaulin

Heavy-duty truck and lorry covers with reinforced corners and eyelets that survive constant tying, wind load and highway abrasion.

The heaviest specification we make. Built for lorries, tippers and containers that run loaded through monsoon and highway dust. Corners get an extra triangular patch, hems are reinforced with webbing and eyelets are spaced closer so rope load is shared. The lamination is thick enough to resist the abrasion that comes from a sheet flapping at 60 km/h.

Identical construction to our laminated sheet, produced in a wide colour range for branding, colour-coded site use and decorative work. Colour is added at the masterbatch stage rather than printed on, so it does not peel or wash out. Batch-matched production means a repeat order looks the same as the first one.

HOW IT'S MADE

From Granule to Finished Product
Tape extrusion & weaving

HDPE granules are extruded into flat tape yarn and woven on circular looms into a tight, dimensionally stable fabric.

Double-side lamination

A molten LDPE film is coated on both faces, sealing every interstice so the sheet becomes fully waterproof and tear resistant.

Cutting & fabrication

Rolls are cut to your size, hems are double folded and stitched, corners are patched and pond liners are hot-air welded.

Eyeleting & QC

Aluminium eyelets are punched at the agreed pitch, then every sheet is checked for GSM, size, seam strength and finish before packing.

Tarpaulin buying FAQ

For standard sizes and colours we supply from a single sheet. Custom colours, non-standard GSM and welded pond liners usually start at around 100 kg so that a dedicated production run makes sense.

As a rule of thumb: 90–120 GSM for light event and short-term covers, 150–200 GSM for general godown and farm use, and 200–300 GSM for vehicle covers and pond liners. Tell us the application and we will recommend it.

Yes. Every sheet is cut and stitched to order, so give us the length, breadth and eyelet pitch you want. For pond liners we also need the depth and slope so the liner is welded to fit.

Standard sizes usually dispatch within 5-7 working days. Large custom or welded orders take 7–10 working days depending on the production queue.

We supply colour-matched sheets and can accommodate branding requirements on bulk orders. Share your artwork and quantity with your enquiry.
